The Mountain Babes decided to enter our float in the July 4th, 2007 Parade in Salida, CO.
Kari, Joan, QMS & Chuck went to Patricia's home again about noon on July 4th to decorate the "Float and Pick-up" in our patriotic theme of
"God Bless the USA"
We lined up at Alpine Park at 3:30, which was the starting point of the parade, where some of the other Mountain Babes met up with the decorating crew to ride on the float.
Thank's to Virginia, we had LOT's of Mardi Gras beads to throw at the croud--- which was a really big hit! We also had about another 12 pounds of candy furnished by QMS for the croud.
We made the parade route and headed back to Patricia's house to dis-assemble the float before the rain and wind hit. Whew! --- Just barely made it.
I sincerely hope that everyone had a "HOOT" with doing the 2 parades this year!
