"Blankies for Babies"

Friends - our daughter in law has started a charitable organization called Blankies for Babies.  It's similar to the Project Linus, except this one will accept any blankets - new, homemade, lightly used, - and donates them to infants, toddlers, and small children in NICU's, foster care agencies, and orphanages.   You can read about her organization, how to participate, or find out how to start a chapter in the newsletter attached below.  It includes a link to the website, how to contact the founder,  and other details.

If nothing else, it's interesting to see what's happening...warming the babies of the world! :-)

Enjoy!   Marcy
PS:  Spread the word!

At the "Fairplay Hotel" in Fairplay, CO

There were 10 "Babes" and "Guests" that invaded the town of Fairplay, CO. and enjoyed Lunch that was ordered from the menu. We really enjoyed Bev's (Our Goddess of the Garden) History on Fairplay and also the investigation of the Hotel and rooms, what a nice bunch of folks---
After lunch, we all enjoyed a bit of shopping and AGAIN some "Street Walking", Hee-Hee!
Thank's to the gentleman at the "Hand Hotel" for making reservation for us at the

"BearyBeary Tastee Bakery"

Un-be-known to us--- they closed at 2pm, but they knew we were on the way & stayed open & waited for us! Really Great People! And the Baked Goods! WOW! They have our Kuddo's!
Thank You Bev King for planning this "Hoot"!
Arlene also passed the Traveling Hat on to the newest recipient---

A "Victorian Tea" was held at the Historic Delaware Hotel
in Leadville, CO on August 17, 2006
Tea was served Victorian style to 18 Red and Pink Hatters and guests of the
Mountain Babes of Pleasant Valley.
We-- were entertained with Ghost Stories of happenings in the Deleware Hotel, past and recent.
and I think we learned a bit of the history of "Tea".
Along with Tea being served we savored the taste of Champagne or a glass of Sherry
(Even though we're "Babes" we had only one---! )
We also enjoyed the finger sandwiches, (I had never had a "Cucumber Sandwich" before, but found it to be pretty good) and also it was hard to choose from the many desserts
Afterward, we all enjoyed a bit of shopping and "Street Walking"
Atta Way Babes!----- This was a "H--- of a Hoot"
Thank You to the Delaware Hotel for showing us a really great time!
